On the 4th March 2009, an incident is logged of a sentinel on patrol receiving damage that resulted in complete vision failure. The actual events leading up to the episode are unclear. The automaton concerned was later sent to a facility where impairment could be assessed. Sentinel X was subsequently found to have irreparable faults and all data was removed and its operating system reset. The following day an operator arriving at the facility found the sentinel missing.
Civilian sightings place the said sentinel in numerous urban environments seemingly unaware of his function and the people around him. They comment on the machines agitated movement and loss of direction “as if it were seeking reasoning for its internal trauma.”
All the images shown reveal a small part of the visual information retrieved from the sentinel. Declared by detectives as useless and unconnected, the information has now been made public.
THE SIGHTLESS SENTINEL is yet to be retrieved.
